Welcome to the Institute for Artificial Intelligence!

The articles gave an insight into one of our research areas, which is the domain of everyday activities on different robot platforms. Beside our research on this topic, the articles also mention our open research platform openEASE, which enables researchers worldwide to work with episodic memories gathered from various robots. Dealing with knowledge is a crucial requirement for autonomous service robots which are meant to perform complex tasks in everyday activities. Nowadays humans will teach robots the necessary knowledge directly to make them competent in a specific task. Enabling robots to teach themselves by exchanging knowledge with other robots is the goal of our software platform openEASE. The IAI will present openEASE at the CeBIT 2017, which is the biggest IT expo in the world.
